Privacy Policy

MySpot (shown on your phone as Benim köşem) is a shared board for two paired people. It is published by Lula Apps, the name under which an individual developer publishes apps ("Lula Apps", "we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data described here. This policy explains what the app stores, who can see it, which companies process it for us, and how to delete everything.

In short

1. What the app stores

Your account

When you finish the introduction, the app creates an account identified by a random ID. A device key kept in your iCloud Keychain proves the account is yours, so there is no password. To stop automated fake accounts, the app asks Apple's App Attest service to confirm that the request comes from the genuine app on a real device. If you choose Continue with Apple, we store only a one-way hash of your Apple user identifier — never your name or email — so you can return to your account on a new phone. While your Apple ID is linked we also keep the token Apple issues for it, solely so we can revoke it when you unlink or delete your account.

Your profile

A display name and a profile photo, both optional. They are shown to the person you are paired with.

Your boards, lists, and gifts

Everything you put on a board — text, notes, mood, to-do lists and ticks, song links, photos, and how you arranged them — is uploaded so your partner's widget can show it. Gifts you send are stored with their sender, recipient, time, and any note you write. Your partner sees the latest board you published; earlier boards are kept only on your devices (and in your own iCloud backup, if you turn it on).

Your pairing

A record that two accounts are paired, when the pairing started, and when and why it ended. Invite codes are stored until they are used or expire.

Your devices and notifications

Apple push tokens for your phone, the widget and Live Activities, an identifier for each widget installation, whether the widget is on your home screen, your notification preferences, and the app version. These exist so your partner's board reaches your home screen and so we know which app versions are in use.

Purchases, subscriptions, and coins

If you subscribe to Premium or buy coins, we and our subscription provider store your account ID, which product you bought, when your entitlement expires, and your coin balance — so Premium can also unlock for your partner and coins can be spent on gifts. Apple processes the payment; we never see your card details.

Usage analytics

The app records product events linked to your account ID so we can improve it: for example which kinds of items are added to boards (a sticker, a song card, a to-do list), which introduction steps are completed, when a board is published or fails, when a paywall is shown, the outcome of a purchase or rewarded ad, and the estimated ad revenue of an ad you watched. These events never contain the text you write, your photos, or song titles. They are stored on our own database, not sent to an analytics company.

Crash reports and diagnostics

When the app crashes or an error occurs, a report is sent to Sentry with technical details — device model, iOS and app version, the error, and the last few app steps before it — and a small sample of performance measurements. We configure Sentry not to attach your account ID or other personal data. Separately, the app keeps a short technical log on your device that is only shared if you deliberately send it to us.

Songs

Song search runs from your phone against Apple's iTunes Search service. When you add a song or share a song link to the app, our server looks the song up in the Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube Music catalogs so your partner can open it in the service they use. These lookups contain the song, not your identity.

iCloud backup (Premium)

If you turn on iCloud backup, your board archive is saved to the private database of your own iCloud account through Apple's CloudKit. We cannot access it. Deleting your account from the app also deletes these backups.

Reports

If you report your partner, their board, or a gift note, we store your report, the reason, and a copy of the reported content as it was at that moment, so we can review it. Your partner is not told who reported them.

2. Who can see your content

In the app, only you and your partner can open your boards, lists, and gifts; access rules on our database enforce this. Board photos are encrypted on your device with a separate key for each photo (AES-256-GCM) before they are uploaded, and those keys are stored on our servers protected by a master key. Board text, notes, and lists are stored in readable form. This means MySpot is not end-to-end encrypted: our service can technically access your content. We only do so to handle a report, to investigate abuse or a security problem, or when the law requires it.

3. Advertising and tracking

Without Premium, you can choose to watch a rewarded ad from Google AdMob to unlock something temporarily or earn coins. Ads never appear on your board or widget and never start unasked. Before the first ad: in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, Google's consent form asks for your choices; and iOS shows Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you allow tracking, Google may use your device's advertising identifier to show ads based on your interests and to measure them across apps. If you don't, ads are still shown but are not personalised. Google may process limited device and ad-request information to serve and measure ads, and Apple's SKAdNetwork may report aggregated install attribution. You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking and, where offered, in the app under Settings › Ad privacy. See Google's advertising policy. Premium removes the need to watch ads.

4. Who processes data for us

Provider What for
Supabase Account authentication, database, file storage, and server functions.
Apple Push notifications, App Store payments, Sign in with Apple, App Attest, iCloud/CloudKit backup, and the iTunes Search catalog.
RevenueCat Subscription state and coin balance, so Premium can be shared with your partner.
Google (AdMob, User Messaging Platform) Rewarded ads in the free tier and the ad consent form.
Sentry Crash reports and performance monitoring.
Spotify, YouTube Catalog lookups for songs you add (the song only, not your identity).
Cloudflare Hosting this website. The app itself does not send your data here.

These providers process data on our instructions and may store it outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. When you open a song in Spotify, YouTube Music, or Apple Music, or share a board to Instagram, that app receives it directly and its own privacy policy applies.

5. How long we keep things

Your account data, published boards, gifts, usage events, and tokens are kept while your account exists and are deleted when you delete it. Publishing a new board replaces the previous one on our servers. When a pairing ends, both sides immediately lose access to it and its photos are deleted. Unused invite codes expire on their own; push tokens are removed when they stop working. Crash reports are kept by Sentry for a limited period and then deleted automatically. Purchase records may be kept by Apple and RevenueCat as required for accounting and tax.

6. Deleting your account

In the app, open Settings and tap Delete account. This is immediate and permanent. It removes your account, profile and profile photo, the boards you published, the photos of your pairings, your gifts, device and widget tokens, invite codes, usage events, entitlement record, and your iCloud backups; it revokes your Sign in with Apple token; any remaining coins are lost; and it ends your pairing and clears your partner's widget. Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription — cancel that in the App Store. Content already delivered to your partner's device may remain in their local copy, which we cannot reach.

7. Children

MySpot is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly allow them to create accounts. If your country sets a higher minimum age for using an online service or for consenting to the processing of personal data, that age applies instead.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) and the EU/UK GDPR — you may have the right to access, correct, export, or erase your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data protection authority. The fastest route for access and erasure is in the app itself: your profile is editable in Settings, and account deletion is one tap away. For anything else, write to [email protected].

9. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will say so in the app.
